Your Teacher

Hello and welcome to my Journey Into online yoga studio. Here, I will be sharing weekly yoga classes, as well as extra videos and audios of specific practices that I know are helpful. For example, yoga sequences for pelvic health, digestion, bone strength, face yoga, as well as videos and audios of mediations and guided relaxations. The beauty of Journey Into is that you can take these practices with you and use them anywhere.

If you don't know me, my name is Clair and I'm a full-time experienced yoga teacher, teaching yoga for over 10 years now. I'm a YAP Senior Yoga Teacher, a BWY Foundation Course Teacher, Breath Coach, member of Pelvic Health Professionals, co-creator and director of the Menopause Fit Programme, an Accessible Yoga Ambassador, and a mentor to yoga teachers and teacher trainees. I specialize in making yoga accessible and am experienced in teaching yoga to many different types of people in different settings.

I'd dabbled in yoga for many years when in 2004 suffering from a bad back I decided it was time to get serious about yoga. Though the catalyst was physical pain, practicing yoga enabled me to make friends with myself in a way I hadn't know was possible. It's the essence of this feeling, living comfortably in one's own body, that I try to pass on to all I teach.The style of yoga I practice and teach is an embodied and practical approach to yoga, breathwork, meditation, and reflection. You definitely do not need to be flexible to start.As well as the physical practices, I use the teachings of yoga in all areas of my life and find my life is all the richer for it, I hope you will too.
